Our fiber is from alpacas raised here at Stoneboat Farm Camelids. The yarn is very soft and luxurious. We have many colors in adult and baby alpaca. Please contact us for availability and pricing.
Alpacas produce one of the world's finest and most luxurious natural fibers. Soft as cashmere and warmer, lighter and stronger than wool, it comes in more colors than any other fiber producing animal (approximately 22 basic colors with many variations and blends).This cashmere-like fleece, once reserved for Incan royalty, is now enjoyed by spinners and weavers around the world.
Coming soon....A yarn with an alpaca, bactrian camel mix.
Bactrian camels have a layer of soft, warm inner down, with a similar structure to cashmere. This bactrian camel fiber will be combined with alpaca to produce a fabulous yarn and will be offered in an assortment of colors. Please contact us with order information and we will try to accommodate you. Orders will be filled on a first come first serve basis and there will be limited quantities available.
